June 6th D-Day Anniversary
Just reminding you all what day it is for some of us that had grandparents/parents that were in the Normandy Invasion...I for one am going to watch the Ceremony on T.V what bout you guys...

I saw one of Reagan's speeches on the invasion the last night.
And let's not forgot the sacrifices by those who fought at Midway... It happened on the same day, 2 years before the Normandy invasion. |

I watched some of the ceremonies/festivities yesterday, as well as a moment of silence during Last Post.

Yeah, my grandfather was on the beach that day. He refused to talk about his WWII experiences, so we didn't find out until after his death by reading into one of his war journals.
